Objectives of the Equipment The equipment should be able to demonstrate: • Proportional, Integral and Derivative control • Response and characteristics of the process • Determining dead time • Tuning techniques of controllers Specifications/Provisions (or equivalent) The unit must be equipped with (or corresponding part): • Framework: Stainless steel or anodized aluminum with enough thickness to withstand the load of equipment and/or different components of equipment • Reactor (Capacity of 1 liter) • pH transmitter with range of 0-14 pH and 4-20 mA output • Metering pumps with 4-20 mA input • Tank for acidic solution with capacity of 20 litres • Tank for basic solution with capacity of 20 litres • Product collection tank with capacity of 40 liters • Piping and valves • PID controller • Compressor (along with female valve of ¼”) for the requirement of compressed air (minimum 4 Nm3/h @ 6 bar) • Tap water valve with 1/2” hose connector • Automated unit along with software for computerized control of the equipment • Computer • UPS with enough backup for shutting down the unit/equipment in case of power failure • List of spares (for 1 year)
