MR-HM 150.10 Visualisation of streamlines Educational Equipment Fluids Engineering Training Equipment Description • visualisation of streamlines • ink as a contrast medium • various models included:drag bodies and changes incross-section • sources and sinks, individually orin combination
The laminar, two-dimensional flow inMR-HM 150.10 is a good approximation ofthe flow of ideal fluids: the potential flow. MR-HM 150.10 can be used to visualizestreamline fields for flows around dragbodies and flow through changes incross-section. The streamlines are displayed in colour by injecting a contrastmedium (ink). Sources and sinks aregenerated via four water connections inthe bottom plate. The streamlines canbe clearly observed through the glassplate during flow around and flowthrough. The water flow rate and the quantity ofcontrast medium injected can be adjusted by valves. The water connections arealso activated by valves and can be combined as required. Individual models canbe cut out of a rubber plate that is included. The experimental unit is positioned easily and securely on the work surface ofthe MR-HM 150 base module. The water issupplied by MR-HM 150. Alternatively, theexperimental unit can be operated bythe laboratory supply.
